I needed a blog space, so this site was created. What a surprise to find the domain name "modernamericanparty" readily available! I like the name because the acronym is MAP. We are searching for a map to a better future- and via the Modern American Party we can take control of the road ahead.

Who are we?

A group that shares some core values of what life should be about. We reject labels such as conservative, liberal, right wing, or left wing.

What are our beliefs?

Here are some items (this list will expand)

Separation of church and state. This is one of our strongest beliefs. Please, worship your God, but don't stick yours in our face and tell us we will die in hellfire or take up a Jihad. Human history is so full of misery because everybody wants to force their God on everybody else.
Fiscal responsibility. The government must be run like a household budget- you can't break the bank all the time.
Security means many things- one way to be secure is to protect your environment. We can't keep trashing it and expect to survive.
The Democratic and Republican party are both in the hands of the money men. They don't protect the average citizens interests.
Greed is NOT a good thing.
The average working citizen is getting less and less of a fair deal.
